Job Description

The Sales Engineer will be responsible for developing and growing sales with SABIC as a key strategic account, managing technical-commercial relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring long-term customer satisfaction through value-based selling and technical support.

Key Responsibilities
Key Account Management

Own and manage the SABIC key account, acting as the primary commercial and technical point of contact

Build and maintain strong relationships with SABIC’s procurement, engineering, operations, and decision-making teams

Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned with business objectives

Sales & Business Development

Identify new sales opportunities, projects, and applications within SABIC

Drive revenue growth through upselling, cross-selling, and new product introductions

Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals, pricing, and contracts in coordination with management

Meet or exceed assigned sales targets, margins, and KPIs

Technical Support & Solutions

Provide technical expertise on products, applications, and solutions relevant to SABIC’s operations

Coordinate product trials, technical presentations, and demonstrations

Work closely with engineering, R&D, and operations teams to customize solutions

Internal Coordination

Liaise with supply chain, production, quality, and finance teams to ensure smooth order execution

Forecast demand and manage sales pipelines accurately

Resolve customer issues related to quality, delivery, or technical performance

Market & Competitor Intelligence

Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities related to SABIC

Provide feedback to management on pricing, product gaps, and growth opportunities

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Materials, or related field preferred)

3–7+ years of experience in B2B technical sales or sales engineering

Proven experience managing key accounts, preferably in chemicals, polymers, industrial products, or energy sectors

Prior experience dealing with SABIC or large multinational industrial customers is a strong advantage

Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills

Willingness to travel as required
