Environmental Engineer -Riyadh

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer to support the environmental compliance and sustainability requirements of a major project in Qiddiya. The candidate will be responsible for implementing environmental plans, monitoring site environmental performance, and ensuring compliance with Saudi regulations and project standards.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily site inspections and environmental monitoring activities
• Implement project-specific Environmental Management Plans (EMP)
• Prepare environmental reports, incident logs, and non-compliance corrective actions
• Coordinate with HSE, Construction, and QA/QC departments regarding environmental requirements
• Ensure compliance with Saudi regulatory bodies (MOC, MOMRAH, NCVC, etc.) and project specifications
• Manage waste handling, water quality, air quality, noise monitoring, and spill response
• Participate in environmental audits and support sustainability initiatives

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Engineering or related field (Civil/Environmental Science)
• Minimum 3–5 years experience in environmental roles (Construction projects preferred)
• Mandatory environmental certification(s) such as:
– NEBOSH Environmental / ISO 14001 Lead Auditor / Environmental Compliance certificates (any recognized environmental certification)
• Company/Client approval in Saudi Arabia is an advantage (Mandatory for shortlisted candidates)
• Strong reporting and documentation skills
• Must be currently in Saudi Arabia with valid transferable Iqama
Additional Competencies (Preferred):
• Environmental monitoring experience (air, water, noise, waste)
• Familiarity with GIGA project environmental standards (NEOM, RED SEA, QIDDIYA, DIRIYAH etc. is a plus)
• Knowledge of sustainability and circular economy practices
