Job Description

Position Overview:

The Planning & Scheduling Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules to ensure timely project completion in accordance with contractual, technical, and budgetary requirements. The role involves close coordination with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure progress aligns with the project execution plan.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules (baseline and updates) using Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.

• Prepare and update project progress reports, S-curves, histograms, and critical path analyses.

• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to collect progress data and identify schedule variances.

• Monitor project milestones, analyze delays, and propose corrective or recovery actions.

• Participate in preparation and review of project execution plans, resource loading plans, and cash flow forecasts.

• Support project management team in claims preparation, EOT (Extension of Time) analysis, and delay impact assessments.

• Review subcontractor schedules for compliance with project requirements and integration into the master schedule.

• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and present schedule performance to management and clients.

• Maintain schedule change logs and update baseline revisions as per approved change orders.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

• 5–10 years of experience in planning and scheduling within civil construction projects (buildings, infrastructure, or industrial).

• Strong knowledge of Primavera P6, MS Project, and project control tools.
