Job Description

Job Summary:

The Electrical Team Leader is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the electrical team to ensure that electrical systems, installations, and maintenance tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervision & Coordination

Lead and supervise a team of electricians, helpers, and technicians.

Plan and allocate daily work schedules and tasks to ensure timely completion.

Monitor site progress and report updates to the Electrical Engineer or Project Manager.

2. Installation & Maintenance

Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems such as lighting, power distribution, earthing, and cable routing.

Troubleshoot electrical faults and perform corrective maintenance as required.

Ensure preventive maintenance programs are followed for all electrical equipment.

3. Quality & Compliance

Verify all electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, standards (NEC, IEC, or Saudi codes), and client specifications.

Conduct inspections and ensure all work meets QA/QC requirements.

Maintain proper documentation of electrical testing, inspections, and materials used.

4. Safety & Training

Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures and permit-to-work systems.

Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for the electrical team.

Identify training needs and assist in the technical development of team members.

5. Coordination with Other Departments

Coordinate with civil, mechanical, and instrumentation teams to avoid site conflicts.

Communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills:

Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 5–10 years of experience in electrical works (construction, maintenance, or industrial).

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, and control circuits.

Familiarity with Aramco, NEOM, SEC, or NWC project standards is an advantage.

Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.

Proficient in safety and quality compliance requirements.
