Key Responsibilities
Managing Daily Accounting Operations:
Oversee the accurate recording of all journal entries (sales, purchases, expenses, accounts receivable, and accounts payable).
Ensure monthly reconciliation of accounts with banks, suppliers, and customers.
Preparing Financial Reports:
Prepare monthly financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Prepare periodic customized management reports (Receivables – Payables – Profit/Loss by products/branches).
Implementing and Developing the Accounting System:
Lead the process of changing or developing the accounting software (ERP/Cloud Accounting).
Establish clear and documented accounting policies and procedures.
Team Management:
Supervise accountants in Egypt, distribute tasks, and ensure compliance.
Develop the team through training and discipline, and address resistance to change.
Compliance with Saudi Laws:
Monitor zakat, tax, and financial statement requirements in accordance with Saudi regulations (in coordination with the legal accountant in Saudi Arabia).
Ensure the accurate filing of tax and zakat returns.
Communication with Senior Management:
Submit weekly and monthly reports directly to the CEO.
Coordinate with the external auditor and financial advisors.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 10 years of experience, including 3–5 years as a Chief Accountant.
Practical experience with ERP systems (SAP Business One, etc.).
Familiarity with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Experience working with geographically distributed teams.
Strong leadership personality capable of enforcing discipline and managing change.
Skills
High accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong financial analysis skills.
Advanced Excel proficiency + BI tools (a plus).
Excellent communication skills.
