Job Description

Data entry responsibilities include accurately inputting and updating data into computer systems and databases, verifying information for errors or inconsistencies, maintaining organized and secure digital and physical records, and performing data backups and generating reports. Professionals in this field are responsible for ensuring data accuracy and integrity while adhering to company policies, handling confidential information, and meeting data entry deadlines.
Core Data Entry Responsibilities
Data Input: Accurately inputting raw data from various sources, such as paper documents, digital files, or audio transcripts, into databases, spreadsheets, and other systems.
Data Verification: Reviewing and cross-checking entered data against source documents to identify and correct any errors, discrepancies, or incomplete information.
Data Maintenance: Updating existing records with new information, maintaining databases and records, and organizing and archiving both digital and paper files.
Data Quality Control: Assessing the quality, consistency, and completeness of entered data, ensuring it meets established standards.
Data Security & Confidentiality: Handling confidential information with discretion, adhering to privacy regulations, and maintaining the security of data in accordance with company policies.
Supporting Responsibilities
Report Generation: Assisting in the creation of data reports and summaries for internal use or other business needs.
Data Organization: Cataloging data with appropriate tags and organizing information for easy retrieval.
System Support: Assisting in the development of data management systems and supporting staff with data-related tasks.
Administrative Tasks: Performing general administrative duties as needed, which may include tasks like managing purchase orders or general filing.
