The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and technically proficient Sales Engineer to join our client’s growing team. This is a pivotal role that bridges expert engineering capabilities with clients’ needs. You will be the technical face of the company, responsible for understanding client challenges, proposing innovative solutions, and driving revenue growth within the industrial sector.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Dammam, offering a unique opportunity to work with industry leaders and contribute to large-scale, impactful projects.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities within the oil, gas, and industrial sectors. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of potential clients and projects.

Client Consultation: Engage with clients to understand their specific technical requirements, challenges, and project objectives related to fabrication, welding, and coating.

Solution Design & Proposal Development: Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to design technically sound and commercially viable solutions. Prepare detailed technical proposals, cost estimates, and tender submissions.

Technical Support: Act as the primary technical resource for clients, providing pre-sales and post-sales support, addressing inquiries, and ensuring client specifications are fully understood and met.

Relationship Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers, engineers, and procurement personnel at client organizations.

Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, new technologies, welding standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWS), and competitor activities.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with project management, engineering, and production teams to ensure smooth project handover and client satisfaction.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related field.

Proven experience in a Sales Engineering or Technical Sales role, preferably within the welding, fabrication, oil & gas, or heavy equipment industry.

Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively.

Strong customer service orientation and a proven track record of building trusted client relationships.

Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills with a solutions-focused mindset.

Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Highly Desirable:

Direct experience with industrial welding processes, metal fabrication, and/or protective coatings.

Knowledge of relevant international standards and specifications (e.g., ASME, API, AWS, ISO).

Existing network of contacts within the oil, gas, or industrial sector in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia.
