Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
Job Purpose:
To support the maintenance team in ensuring the reliability, availability, and safe operation of electrical equipment and systems within the factory. The role involves assisting in troubleshooting, performing preventive maintenance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of plant performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems, machines, and equipment.
Assist senior engineers/technicians in troubleshooting and repairing electrical faults in machinery, drives, PLCs, HMIs, and control panels.
Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades.
Monitor and record equipment performance to identify early signs of potential issues.
Follow safety standards and company procedures during maintenance activities.
Work with the maintenance team to reduce downtime and improve equipment reliability.
Maintain proper documentation of maintenance activities, including work orders and checklists.
Participate in continuous learning and development of technical skills.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
IQAMA: valid transferable IQAMA
SCE: membership in SCE is a must
