Technical Sales Engineer
Job Description
A technical sales engineer with expertise in painting and coating is needed by Petrobuild International Contracting Company.
Key responsibilities:
• Understand customers’ needs and recommend the right products and services in consultation with the original manufacturer when necessary.
• Preparing and explaining technical proposals to clients and following up closely with the key stakeholders.
• Finding new customers and generating new leads by visiting key end users and contractors’ sites to meet the stakeholders (Maintenance, Reliability, Procurement…).
• Building relationships with key clients and encouraging long-term supply agreements.
• Making sales pitches at demonstrations or conference events to promote company products and services.
• Exceed the agreed sale quotas.
• Sales and visits reporting to update the line manager or team lead.
• Update management on current market trends and learning about new technology products.
Qualification Requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering required.
• Minimum 5 years of KSA experience dealing with Saudi Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, and Mining with a good portfolio of key contacts at plants in the same field.
• Understand the protective coating solutions against corrosion, wear, and abrasion issues in the heavy industry.
• Must demonstrate strong commercial business acumen and a desire to exceed targets.
• Have excellent sales skills—presenting, listening, communication, problem solving, and organization.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close sales deals.
