Job Summary
The Business Development Manager in the construction sector is responsible for driving business growth by identifying, pursuing, and securing new opportunities, building strong relationships with clients and industry stakeholders, managing the tendering and proposal processes, and contributing to strategic planning to expand the company’s market share and revenue in the KSA.
Responsibilities:
Business Growth & Opportunity Development
Identify and prioritize new business opportunities with real estate developers, government entities, consultants, and contractors.
Track tenders and bidding opportunities on platforms like Etimad, manage PQ, RFIs/RFQs, and bid submissions.
Prepare, coordinate, and manage commercial proposals in collaboration with estimating, technical, and project teams.
Lead negotiation of contracts, commercial terms, and deal closures.
Maintain a business pipeline and ensure targets for bid value, submissions.
Client & Stakeholder Relationship Management
Build and nurture strong long-term relationships with current and potential clients, consultants, developers, and industry partners.
Communicate with key decision makers to understand requirements and tailor solutions.
Represent the company at industry events, client meetings, and networking sessions.
Market Research & Strategy
Conduct detailed market analysis to identify industry trends, competitors, and client needs.
Develop and implement business development and growth strategies aligned with company goals.
Provide insights and feedback to senior management on market conditions and potential areas for expansion.
Proposal & Report Preparation
Prepare high-impact sales presentations, commercial offers, and professional proposals.
Track leads and opportunities, maintain accurate reports on pipeline status, forecasts, and performance metrics.
Work closely with Tendering, Estimation, Project, Legal, and Commercial teams to develop unified and competitive bids.
Ensure smooth coordination between internal stakeholders during project acquisition phases.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
5–10+ years’ experience in business development or sales within the construction or contracting industry in Saudi Arabia.
Strong network within the local construction ecosystem (developers, consultants, contractors).
Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Knowledge of tendering processes (e.g., Etimad), market dynamics, and contract management.
Fluency in English and Arabic is often preferred.
